Oregon Hiking Trails

There are some really beautiful hiking trails and locations in the state of Oregon. Oregon is known for its diverse landscape consisting of mountains, canyons, forests, desert and coastal regions. All this makes for some spectacular hiking!

One of the great hikes in Oregon is the Whetstone Ridge to Twin Lakes hike. This is found off Oregon Highway 224 in Bull of the Woods Wilderness. You’ll see such wonders as pristine streams, lakes and forested canyons. There are also many ridges which offer amazing views. It is a 9.2 mile round hike Silver King Lake junction. There is also the option of the 14.2 mile hike to Upper Twin Lakes which takes around 2 days round trip.

Another location not to miss is Triangulation Peak. It is only a two hour hike but it is not all easy! It is 4.2 miles long on the round trip and you’ll be climbing Mount Jefferson. There are absolutely beautiful trees on this hike. One for the nature lover.

Hanging Rock is my favorite Oregon hike. If you like fantastic views at the end of your hike then this one is for you. You’ll end the hike overlooking the Rogue River which contains rapids. This is 3600 feet above!
